I did some research and being someone who needed merely an “all natural repair”; I stumbled across an “apple cider vinegar novel” written by Paul Bragg… the man who started the first Well-Being Shop in America.
I read the novel and since apple cider vinegar was so affordable and it’d so many benefits, I immediately ran out and to our local health shop to purchase it. I began simply taking a tablespoon a day as I was told due to powerful detoxifying effects of apple cider vinegar, I might need to start out slow. So that’s what I did. I found my energy increase fairly fast and after a week, I relied greatly on apple cider vinegar to help me maintain my 2 year old. I could not go without it and told every mom I understood… still do. I purchase my raw apple cider vinegar for under $5 and it lasts me from 2 weeks up to a month.
The one thing I learned is the vinegar must be “raw apple cider vinegar” so you usually cannot get this at your health shop. It isn’t clear vinegar … but quite orangish-dirty looking.
Another thing I learned is when you drink it, drink it through a straw. Otherwise, your teeth will get holes inside them. It’s excellent for your insides but not for your teeth! So be cautious there.
ACV and its health benefits are documented for centuries. As far back as 5000 BC, the Babylonians used it as a tonic. During those times, it was made from date palm and used to make wine as well as a pickling agent.
Dating back to 3000 BC, deposit continues to be found in early Egyptian urns. Chinese historical documents tout the benefits of apple cider vinegar dating back to 1200 BC. Modern medicine recognizes the medicinal properties of apple cider vinegar. Studies have supported apple cider vinegar benefits.
As one of nature’s wonders, apples are chock full of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and dietary fiber. They contain no fat or sodium of value. The good present in the apple is transferred to apple cider vinegar when it’s left within an unprocessed state. It’s significant that when looking for a brand which you discover a raw apple cider vinegar, for example Bragg’s. The uncooked apple keeps its nutrients.
During the fermentation process which will be what transforms smashed apple into vinegar, nutrients are maintained while enzymes and organic acids are created. When taken as a tonic, ACV supplies minerals, pectin and magnesium in an easily absorbable form.
To prepare a valuable apple cider vinegar tonic, mix two to three teaspoons into an 8 oz glass of purified water and have prior to every meal. Routine ingestion of this ACV tonic can help the acid / alkaline balance in our systems. It’s significant that we keep more of an alkaline environment to be able to keep good health.
